About us

Retina Colombia: science, patients and society

Retina Colombia is a non-profit interdisciplinary network founded in Bogotá in 2015. We bring together the academic community, medical and scientific societies, international organisations, national NGOs and the Colombian Government to speed up diagnosis, research and access to treatment for people living with retinal diseases.

Patient registry

The Colombian Registry of Retinal Dystrophies holds clinical and genetic data from more than 2,300 people, collected with informed consent and governed with patient participation.

Policy and advocacy

We work with the Ministry of Health on a national genetic diagnosis pathway for inherited retinal diseases.

International cooperation

We are part of Latin American and Ibero-American patient networks, and welcome partnerships on registries, training and clinical trials.

Partner with us.
